Welcome to the USMLE S.O.S. Step 1 Preparation Course. Are you thinking of taking your USMLE Step 1? But are you lost in the ECFMG paperwork or don’t you know where to start studying? Do all the elaborate Step 1 study books discourage you? Are you having trouble finding enough time to study or a study scheme that suits you? Then this course might be something for you.
This USMLE S.O.S. Step 1 Preparation Course is the very first of its kind in the Netherlands. We have organized our first – very successful – course in the summer of 2016. Our Step 1 Prep Course consist of three days, during which renowned basic scientists and physicians will address effective study management, high-yield basic principles and organ systems. On day 3, participants will take a mock exam to test their current knowledge and to see if they are ready to take the exam. All lectures and practical sessions are provided in English. A detailed course schedule can be found below in “Downloads”. On the last day of the course, a certificate of attendance will be provided to all participants.
The USMLE Step 1 examination may very well be the hardest exam you will take in your life. This course offers you the tools to succeed. However, in order to pass the USMLE Step 1 exam, it is imperative to devote weeks of dedicated studying before or after the course.
Who can apply?
You need to have finished the first two years of medical school. Students or medical graduates from any medical school in the Netherlands (or abroad) are free to register for the course.
What is the registration fee?
Course fees range from 50-150 euros. The exact fee will be announced in the months previous to the course.
How do I register?
You can apply for registration through this website. The course has a maximum of 30 participants. Based on the number of registrations we receive through the website, you will receive an email with a confirmation of your participation.
